Music group Super Junior climbed to number one in the Oricon daily album chart with their first Japanese full-length album.
On July 24, Super Junior’s first Japanese album Hero made it to the top of the Oricon daily album chart on the day of its release, showing Japanese fans’ enthusiastic interest in Super Junior.
The group’s first Japanese album comprises entirely of songs sung in Japanese and includes hits such as ”Mr. Simple,” “Bonamana” and “Sexy, Free & Single,” which was released as a single in Japan and made it to the top 3 in Oricon’s weekly single chart. The album also contains new song such as “★(BAMBINA)★,” “Tuxedo,” “Hero” and more, providing Super Junior’s varied music in one package.
With the album’s release appeared the so-called “Super Junior Road” where the words “Super Junior Hero” and large images of Super Junior members cover the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi line’s Shinjuku Station, drawing the attention of citizens.
Super Junior will be holding their world tour concert Super Show 5 in Tokyo in Japan’s Tokyo Dome on July 27 and 28. The concert is expected to gain enthusiastic responses from Japanese fans.
